Classic Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower

It’s time to head to the Hundred Acre Wood! When a past wedding client approached us requesting a Classic Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower, we jumped at the chance to create a fairy tale lunch for the mom-to-be and all of her closest friends. As we researched the classic tale, we found so many adorable ideas including vintage Pooh Bear characters, whimsical details, bumble bees, and honey. This theme is absolutely precious. Take a look at some of our favorite parts of Brooke’s Winnie the Pooh baby shower!

Natural Details

It wouldn’t be the Hundred Acre Woods without some natural elements such as wood and moss. We incorporated blush spray roses and baby's breath since Brooke is expecting a baby girl! Subtle, natural color tones gave each table a soft, feminine look. And although the baby shower was during lunchtime, small votive candles added an intimate look for the adorable table centerpiece.

Honey Themed Dessert Table

Honeycombs are a great addition to any Winnie the Pooh themed event. We built this custom honeycomb back drop from 10” natural hexagon shelving from Etsy! We love that it created a story and vignette for our dessert table but also acted as shelving for these sweet buttercream cupcakes (with Winnie the Pooh quote toothpick tags). Tying in similar elements at the guest tables (wooden slabs, dried moss, and spray roses) made a well-balanced story throughout the shower.

Themed
Desserts and Other Sweet Treats

These hand dipped Rice Krispie treats are
totally Winnie the Pooh. We paired them on wooden slabs throughout the dessert
table for that perfect rustic and sweet combination.

This beehive cake is almost too good to
eat… almost! We picked a brown sugar cake with a honey buttercream frosting. So
delicious! We are smitten with the adorable hand painted bumble bee fondants
(Etsy) buzzzzzzing around their pretty little home!

We know Winnie the Pooh and friends would
love these delicious caramel topped custards. Just enough to satisfy your sweet
tooth. And perfect for our color palette.

Hundred Acre Wood

Adding a map of Winnie the Pooh’s home
town welcomed guests into our fairy tale upon arrival! They collected their
escort card and enjoyed the afternoon in our version of ‘Hundred Acre Wood’.

Winnie
The Pooh Quotes

Winnie the Pooh stories really do have
some of the sweetest quotes, but we especially love this one – “Sometimes the
smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” It’s just perfect for a
baby shower. We included a mix of quotes throughout the space to make each
guest table unique… and heartwarming!

Punny
Snacks

Simple games are a must at any shower – why not have some fun with them? We love when the traditional ‘Guess How Many’ come along with little puns such as these Honeycombs.
